Welcome to the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) at Johns Hopkins
Bayview Medical Center,
located on the third floor in the “B” building on the JHBMC campus.
This resource, funded by the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), is designed to
facilitate clinical research by Johns Hopkins faculty and staff
members.
The Center provides resources to support investigations funded
by the NIH as well as other federal, state and local government
agencies and the private sector.
Clinical Environment For
- studies of normal and abnormal body function and for
investigations
of the cause, progression, prevention, control and cure of human
disease.
- controlled clinical investigation by scientists supported
through the Public Health Service or other sources.
- encouragement of collaborations among basic and clinical
scientists.
- development and maintenance of a national corps of expert
clinical investigators.
- training physicians and other health professionals in clinical
research.
- resources in which advances in basic scientific knowledge
may be translated into new or improved methods of health care.
